Respect

I think its rather ropey and bad practice to eat at you desk in the first place, after all your there to work not stuff your face on a five course meal cooked by your own Escoffier chef. If someone wants to fast for Ramadan that’s their business and I would be happy to support their right to do so, but I draw the line in the metaphorical sand when it comes to being told not to do something because someone else has made a personal choice which has sweet FA to do with me. Does this mean that pork pies are to be banned from the canteen along with all other pork products because they offend somebody’s religious sensibilities? Because as a born again Christian who believes strongly in family values there are one or two practices that are offensive to my faith that I would like to see banned from the work place. Sadly if this were to happen I doubt there would be enough competent people left to get on with the job. So I limit myself to praying for thier souls.
