Just had another interview with an American IT company based in Readingcalled FrontRange. I was just interviewed tonight by a German with 2 hours notice, for a rolefor one month with possibility going permanent as they fired the only guy today who was supporting their UK office.
He had no spec that I had asked for and as I was literally thrown in at the deep end by the agency askinghim questions about the role. The interview was 30 minutes.
I would have towork by myself with no backup whatsoever and start at 09:00 tomorrow. He then had the balls to say to me that I was wasting 30 minutes of his time by rejecting the month’s contract!!
In fact he was bloody minded. So I said to him, that in most cases agencies provided spec’s first so we don’t end up inthis situation!! It sounds as though these people are in a real mess.
How can you prepare for an interview with no spec and only 2 hours!Didn’t even get time to read their website probably and it would be a stepdown from what I was doing.
What put me off is there is high turn over of IT staff there and only being the only support person in the UK for 40 people is expecting a lot and I would probably have to work some weekends.
Talk about inefficiency!! Guess keep looking.
