Being a converted Radio4 listener now I was listening to a show called PMlast night where they were discussing the huge number of garden slugs inour gardens due to the weather. The broadcaster reckoned there were over abillion slugs in the UKThey then went over to a famous gardener Hugh Fernstill- Whittlebottom whotold us the best way of getting rid of these slugs is to cut them in halfwith scissors he pays his son a penny for every slug he killsThe best time to kill these slugs is in the eveningSo there you go.
