Christmas

Yes the Christmas card was quite a suprise, we intended to recycle our old cards from last year but they seem to have been thrown out, but will be doing so next year, so you'll get the card back. Have to say it must have been the smallest card ever, hardley room for a postage stamp, but much appreciated all the same.
We spent Christmas at a country house hotel called the Farringfor that used to belong to the poet Tennyson and let other people take the strain. For some reason we were put on the VIP list and were treated very well indeed. I have to say it was a relief not to be running around Tescos buying a turkey and all the trimmings yet again.
New Year went to Phillipas party in Ventner, shes vey chic, all 1950's Retro and a friend of Suzes, but it was not the happiest affair. Left early to watch Jools Holland.
Back to work on Monday, its been great having so much time off, but suspect I will find it a hard to motivate myself as we are currently undergoing a restructure of the restructure and people are playing silly buggers.
Spent three months last year reviewing a set of procedures, consulting widely with all the stake holders at different levels with in the organisation and even extended the consultation period to give people the oppertunity to take part. Only to have one of the regions directors come back the week before Christmas to say they didn't feel consulted!
I sent a measured response with a pen picture of the process, co's their a bit thick, along with the copies of minutes, emails and responces recieved from that region which clearly show a high level of engagement.
So I suspect I have not made to many friends, life in the private sector was so much easier. The voluntary and community sector is sh!te and your a lucky man.
